《應用化學專業(yè)英語》第二版是北京高等教育精品教材，是根據大學英語教學大綱（理工科本科用）的專業(yè)閱讀部分的要求，受“全國部分高�；�工類及相關專業(yè)大學英語專業(yè)閱讀教材編審委員會”委托而編寫的，旨在為應用化學專業(yè)師生提供一本較系統的專業(yè)英語教學用書。
　　本教材具有以下特點：一、內容選自近年來國外英文原版高等院校化學和化工類教學用書及化學專著，能體現當代專業(yè)英語的篇章結構特點和詞匯特點；二、題材新穎，文體各異；三、圍繞本專業(yè)若干重點內容精選閱讀材料，覆蓋本專業(yè)主要研究領域及發(fā)展歷史、發(fā)展趨勢；四、內容豐富，共包括五部分24個單元，每單元含精讀課文、專業(yè)詞匯（附音標）、課文注釋、多種形式的練習和泛讀課文。
